Mode of Dress

(Effective from 27th July 2009)

It is expected that all members and their guests, and visitors to the club, adopt a reasonable standard of dress at all times when on the club premises. The Door Staff or the Bar Staff may refuse admission if, in their opinion, any member, their guests or any visitor is improperly dressed.

For guidance the following "Code of Dress" is expected -

BEACHWEAR, COLLARLESS "T" SHIRTS WITH OFFENSIVE DESIGNS, WORDING, OR LOGOS, CUT OFF JEANS, VESTS, HEAVILY STAINED CLOTHING WILL NOT BE ACCEPTABLE AT ANY TIME.

TAILORED SHORTS MAY BE WORN DURING THE LUNCHTIME PERIOD AND MONDAY - THURDAY EVENINGS ONLY.

GENTLEMEN MAY NOT WEAR HATS OR OTHER HEADGEAR, EXCEPT FOR RELIGIOUS REASONS, AT ANY TIME.

It is not the Committees intention to offend members or their guests, but only to ensure that the general standard of dress in the club does not fall below that which is expected by the majority of the membership. We trust that all members will adhere to the code and accept the spirit behind the decision.
